Ongoing operations continue to highlight the vital importance of C4ISR interoperability. The C4ISR Liaison Team’s purpose is to support and enable US and UK efforts to improve the ability of their military forces to work together from day one of a military operation. The C4ISR Team’s objective is to help identify opportunities for C4ISR technical co-operation and collaboration, and to resolve technical, procedural and policy issues in order to enhance the interoperability of UK and US military C4ISR systems. As a liaison team they provide a conduit between both nations’ C4ISR staffs, at any level required, ensuring that issues which may slow this objective are quickly identified, reported and resolved
